Unlike standard cooking schools, this class combines a lively local market visit with an authentic organic farm experience. Guests don’t just cook — they also feed and hug chickens, collect eggs, and explore a mushroom hut before heading to a cozy open-air kitchen. What makes it truly special is the focus on knowledge and culture: our instructors explain Thai herbs, spices, sauces, and traditions in detail, so you leave not only with delicious dishes but also with a deeper understanding of Thai cuisine and daily life. With small group sizes and hands-on guidance, it feels more like joining a family meal than attending a class.
After hotel pickup, begin with a guided visit to a lively local market, where you’ll discover colorful herbs, spices, sauces, and seasonal vegetables. Learn how locals shop and how each ingredient brings Thai food to life. Next, head to our spacious organic farm, surrounded by rice fields. Take part in hands-on activities — feed and hug the chickens, collect fresh eggs, and explore our unique mushroom hut. Walk through the gardens to see and smell the herbs and vegetables that will flavor your dishes. At the open-air kitchen, each guest has their own cooking station in a small group setting. With the support of our friendly instructors, you’ll prepare 4 traditional Thai dishes, such as curry paste, curry, Pad Thai or Tom Yam. To end on a sweet note, a complimentary serving of Mango Sticky Rice will be provided. Finally, sit down to enjoy the delicious meal you’ve created before returning to your hotel with new recipes, skills, and wonderful memories of Chiang Mai.
