Montmartre is the highest hill in Paris — and the one corner of the city that still feels like a village. Your licensed local guide leads you up its cobbled lanes and hidden staircases to uncover the artists and legends behind its bohemian reputation.

Starting by the Moulin Rouge, follow in the footsteps of Picasso, Van Gogh and Renoir. See the café made famous by the film Amélie, the romantic "I Love You" wall, and the Bateau-Lavoir where modern art was born. Pass the old windmills, then reach Place du Tertre, where painters still set up their easels. Finish at the Sacré-Coeur Basilica, with one of the finest views over Paris.

In a small group, you'll have time to ask questions, take photos and get insider tips for the rest of your trip. Run by ElysiaGo, a Paris-based team rated 4.7/5 by travellers for knowledgeable, well-organised tours.
