Chaukhi Pass 3341 m is dividing Kazbegi region and Khevsureti. It is compelling due to a proximity of imposing Chaukhi massif with its many sharp peaks. At the other side of the pass, you will find meadows with intriguing rock formations (Roshka stones) and Abudelauri lakes - three beautiful alpine lakes with different colors (green, blue and white). Chaukhi pass is one of the highest and most beautiful passes in Georgia. We will do a trek from Juta village to Chaukhi Pass and back to show you how beautiful it is there.
We will go there by 4x4 car from our office. We will return in the same way. Juta is the highest situated village in our region. On the way, we will stop by the mysterious statues that we call the Georgian Easter Island and in the most important village of the region, which is Sno because Georgian Patriarch comes from there. After commuting to Juta, we will do a trek under the Chauchi massif, which is called the Georgian Dolomites and then we will reach the Chaukhi Pass. This trekking is not technically difficult, but it is a long day (8-9 hours of trekking), so you have to be fit enough. You should take water and snacks. You must be prepared for changeable weather. Bring a jacket and something in case it rains. You must also have trekking shoes. The time spent in the car is 1 hour and the trekking time is 8-9 hours.
Our main office in Stepantsminda is a very colorful building with a logo of our agency.
