digit game code that you received by text and Viator chat message, and let the riddles guide you through a city whose medieval heart is hiding in plain sight. No guide, no fixed start time. Your first stop is the Kreuztor, the perfectly preserved city gate standing at the edge of the old town since 1385. One of the finest surviving Gothic gatehouses in Germany, it marks where Ingolstadt's medieval fortifications once ran along the river. From the Kreuztor, the hunt leads to the Liebfrauenmünster, the city's great late Gothic minster. Construction began in 1425, and the church's twin towers have made it the spiritual centrepiece of Ingolstadt for six centuries. The route finishes in Klenzepark, a riverside park on the footprint of the old Ingolstadt fortress. Still containing remnants of the old military structures, the riddles will make sure you find them. Allow around 2 hours to take in the full route. Ingolstadt is a city worth knowing well — and this tour is a good place to start.
