Minh Mang Mausoleum was built from 1840 to 1843, when it was completed, it mobilized up to ten thousand workers and soldiers.
Built in 1843, this sacred site is widely celebrated for its profound serenity, deep connection to the imperial Nguyen Dynasty, and its legacy as the root temple of the world-renowned Zen Master Thích Nhất Hạnh. It is also the only pagoda in Vietnam featuring a dedicated cemetery for imperial court eunuchs from the nearby Nguyen Dynasty tombs, who helped fund and restore the pagoda to secure a final resting place.
