Hike to meet the goats in the valley of Undredal village

Along the route you’ll enjoy breathtaking views over Aurlandsfjord and the surrounding mountains. We cross meadows and woodland before arriving at the valley and river where the goats graze. Sit with the goats for a guided cheese tasting of our local goat cheeses — weather permitting we taste outdoors; in poor weather we move inside a traditional seter. When finished, we return on foot to Undredal.

Inside this beautiful and unique wooden church your local guide will tell the fascinating 900‑year story — from Viking influences to later restorations — revealing details and hidden treasures most visitors miss.
