My name is Laila, I'm an experienced cook chef, I have 30 years of experience cooking for guest houses and hotels, 12 years of which I teached cooking classes for guests.
We’ll then visit the nearby local market to buy fresh vegetables and ingredients. We’ll also visit a local spice shop, where I’ll introduce you to Moroccan spices and explain their traditional uses. If interested, you can buy your own spices, and I’ll help you choose what suits you. After welcoming you into home, we’ll start with a warm cup of traditional Moroccan tea and time to relax. I’ll introduce you to Moroccan spices, their aromas and uses, and how they add flavor and depth to the dishes. I’ll also check for food allergies and dietary preferences, with vegetarian and vegan options available. We’ll then begin the hands-on class, preparing fresh Moroccan salads and learning simple traditional techniques and how to balance flavors. Next, we’ll prepare a traditional Moroccan tagine using authentic spices such as Ras el Hanout. Throughout the experience, I’ll guide you step by step, sharing tips, cooking secrets, and stories behind each recipe, making it both enjoyable and educational. Finally, we’ll sit together and enjoy the delicious meal we prepared ourselves.
