GUIDED TOUR: Secrets of the Fjords - the Osterfjord and Mo, 6.5 hours

This is a short round-trip by car to the amazing Osterfjord area. Our professional driver-guide picks you up at your hotel in Bergen centre (or cruise ship port) and our tour starts. Departure is usually at 9:00am unless otherwise agreed.  Leaving Bergen we drive past some of the sights. The Medieval fortress of Bergenhus is one of them.

e largest continental islands in Europe – Osterøy island, 127 square miles (330 km2). Our first stop is at the viewpoint right after crossing the bridge over the fjord.

We can visit the factory outlet and maybe pick up some woolen souvenirs there.

fjords and secluded villages along the way. Our next stop is at the Stone Age settlement on the Bolstadfjord: a short walk on a moderately steep trail is required.

at the magical Hesjedalsfossen waterfall: one of the most iconic sights, and yet an offbeat attraction.

We continue our journey and reach Mo (pronounced “Moo”) – a cosy village between two waterfalls: Geitaskaret and Kvernhusfossen. Here we can have lunch at a small restaurant/café overlooking the Mofjord and Geitaskaret waterfall.
