Tandem skydive at Great Ocean Road with a 20 or 60 second freefall, plus expert instruction and safety gear included.

Getting started

Arrive at Skydive Great Ocean Road at Barwon Heads Airport, about an hour from Melbourne, and check in at the drop zone. You will complete an online APF pre-registration, sign your paperwork, and attend a detailed safety briefing. After you are fitted with your harness and safety gear, you will meet your expert tandem instructor or jumpmaster before boarding the aircraft.

What to expect

Scenic climb over the Great Ocean Road

Your experience begins with a scenic ascent to your chosen altitude above Victoria's coastline.

Features

• Look out over Torquay, Bells Beach, Barwon Heads, and the wider Great Ocean Road as the aircraft climbs to 8000 or 15000 feet, giving you a clear view of the region's rugged shoreline.

• Your instructor or professional jumpmaster talks you through the final checks, ensuring your harness, goggles, and safety equipment are properly secured after the pre-jump briefing.

Freefall and canopy flight

Step out of the aircraft securely attached to your tandem expert and feel the rush of freefall before the parachute opens.

Features

• Depending on the option you choose, experience around 20 seconds of freefall from 8000 feet, 60 seconds of freefall from 15000 feet, or 10 to 20 seconds of freefall on selected 8000 foot photo and video packages.

• A qualified tandem instructor or professional jumpmaster controls the entire jump, managing body position, altitude awareness, and parachute deployment so you can focus on the view.

• Once the canopy opens, glide for several minutes along the coastline with clear views of limestone cliffs and the long sweep of Victoria's shoreline.

Landing and extras

Touch down close to the shoreline and wrap up your skydive with included documentation and optional media.

• Land at the designated drop zone near the coast, only a short distance from the water, so you finish your jump in the same coastal setting you saw from the air.

• Receive a skydiving certificate to mark your jump, along with personal accident insurance cover and a 3-month Australian Parachute Federation membership where included in your option.
