There's a steep metal staircase down, a bridge over the river then a steep rocky ascent up the other side. A rope handrail is provided. We then walk through up the forested valley following the burn / river - Allt Coire Gabhail. The path is good for the majority of the route but it is rocky, muddy & steep in places. There's one large rock slab to ascend & descend and a river to cross via stepping stones. The final approach to the Lost Valley is narrow and strewn with huge boulders. We emerge to the open expanse of the Hidden Valley surrounded by towering mountains. A perfect lunch spot! We'll then walk back down the same way to the car park via the upper path with phenomenal views of Glen Coe. Your guide will contact you before the hike to confirm clothing & equipment and answer any questions. A mandatory online Medical & consent form is required.
Arriving at the car park with your own vehicle is preferred. Meet at the stone monument (front of the car park).
Lift available for up to 4 people from Fort William or Glencoe central car parks.
