Your guide introduces the landmark before you decide whether to take the optional staircase climb towards the monument. For guests comfortable with the steps, the ascent becomes part of the experience, with opportunities to pause and appreciate the changing outlook along the way. Take time to photograph the scenery and enjoy the breeze before continuing your excursion. Participation in the climb remains optional, allowing you to choose according to your comfort, fitness and the time available.

Discover a more intimate side of Vung Tau at Thang Tam Whale Temple, where the beliefs of coastal fishing communities offer a fascinating window into local life. In this spiritual setting, your guide explains the traditional reverence for whales and the belief that these remarkable creatures protect fishermen at sea. Learn how gratitude, hopes for safe voyages and respect for the ocean have helped shape a form of worship closely connected to the community’s livelihood. This visit adds depth to the day’s seaside scenery, revealing how the ocean influences more than work and recreation. It also shapes identity, spiritual practices and the stories passed between generations. Enjoy a thoughtful encounter with a distinctive part of Vietnam’s coastal heritage.
