The Sella Cave is an "open-air" cave in some places, thanks to a large hole on the top of the vault. This opening acts as a natural skylight: at midday, when the sun is at its zenith, a vertical beam of light illuminates the center of the cave like a theatrical spotlight, making the water almost unreal transparency.
