Balandra is much more than the main beach most visitors get to experience. On this adventure, you’ll enjoy the best of the area all in one day: sea lions, beaches, kayaking, spectacular views, and nature.
We also skip the land transportation to Balandra and, by arriving by boat, avoid the lines and waiting time to get in, making the day much more comfortable and enjoyable.
Our guides are bilingual marine biologists with years of experience leading tours and sharing the history, landscapes, and marine life of the region.
We’ll cruise to El Tecolote beach, where we’ll begin our hike toward Balandra. The hike is approximately 3 km and takes around 1 hour, crossing rocky and sandy terrain with beautiful views of beaches, cliffs, intertidal zones, and the desert landscape. Depending on the tide, your shoes will most likely get wet. Once we reach Balandra, we’ll enjoy lunch on the beach with fresh, local ceviche. Ask about our vegan options! After lunch, we’ll explore Balandra’s mangroves and other beaches by kayak, with opportunities for seabird watching along the way. We use tandem sit-on-top kayaks and provide life jackets. Kayaks are recommended for people weighing up to 100 kg per person. We’ll then continue by boat to San Rafaelito for snorkeling with sea lions. San Rafaelito is a resting area, not a breeding area, where we can observe the sea lions resting in their natural habitat. The schedule may vary slightly depending on wind, waves, and tide conditions. This tour requires an intermediate fitness level. We'll be returning to the meeting point at around 3:30 pm.
We'll meet at 9:00 am at the pearl sculpture at the Muelle Fiscal. Your guide will be wearing the MTA uniform.
For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
