Chewacla State Park's 696 scenic acres offer plenty of rest, relaxation and recreation, just a short drive from the Auburn-Opelika area. John Emerald Distilling is a small batch craft distillery located in beautiful downtown Opelika, Alabama. We offer tours, cocktails, and bottle sales in house as well as distribute our spirits throughout the Southeast.

We are open 10-6 Thursday, Friday and Saturday. No appointments necessary for tastings on groups of 10 or less. We have a variety of Muscadine, Grape and Fruit wines ranging from Dry White and Red to Sweet White and Red to blends in between. We have a gift shop as well in our tasting room. South of Alexander City on Alabama Highway 128 you’ll find one of the largest state-owned campgrounds in the United States, Wind Creek State Park. However, that distinction is not the only thing that makes Wind Creek special. Wind Creek State Park is the public's access to Lake Martin.
