Archaeological Park of Velia “An Italian jewel, Costa Campana”

The archaeological site is located in the Piana di Velia district, in the municipality of Ascea. Very interesting is the necropolis and the Porta Rosa, a journey through time where Greeks, Lucanians and Romans have left their testimonies. The city, also known for the figures of Parmenides and Zeno, founders of the famous Eleatic philosophical school, which reached a great development in the Hellenistic period and in much of the Roman age.
