You'll see Beargrass in June, Thimbleberries in July, and Huckleberries in August. There are also plenty of creatures that venture up this canyon! We have seen Moose, Elk, Mountain Goats, Black Bears, Pika, and Deer up here! Bring your binoculars! The hike is less than 2 miles round trip with less than 300 ft of elevation gain. It's a mild hike, but we will head off trail for a few hundred feet to get to our overlook destination! Your guide carries all essential tea and hiking gear, gps communicator, safety equipment, is a certified wilderness first responder and leave no trace certified! Your guide will carry a backpacking stove to prepare the hot water! Please drive cautiously to the trailhead! The last few miles are over narrow dirt road! We will drive together up to the overlook where we will have tea!
