Your guide will share information about the local wildlife, culture and geography. This peaceful journey is ideal for panoramic photographs and offers your first impression of the vast Amazon rainforest.

Arrival at the Amazon Lodge and Lunch Upon arrival at the lodge, travellers will receive a short introduction explaining the accommodation, daily schedule and available services. The peaceful rainforest setting provides time to rest before the afternoon activities. Your guide will be available to answer questions and prepare the group for the guided jungle walk.

Rainforest Walk and Medicinal Plants We will take a guided walk along natural trails surrounding the lodge to discover medicinal plants and emblematic trees of the Amazon rainforest. Your guide will explain their traditional uses, properties and cultural importance to local communities. This is a relaxed and educational experience with many opportunities to learn about the relationship between Amazonian communities and their natural environment.

Searching for Sloths and Amazonian Birds During the walk or from areas near the lodge, your guide will take you to strategic locations where sloths are sometimes seen resting high in the trees, along with toucans, parrots and other local birds. The guide will explain their habits, diet, movement and distinctive behaviour. Although wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed, this activity offers nature and photography enthusiasts an excellent opportunity to observe emblematic Amazonian animals in their natural habitat.

Amazonian Sunset At the end of the afternoon, we will enjoy an Amazonian sunset from the lodge or a nearby natural viewpoint. The warm colours of the sky, the changing sounds of the rainforest and the peaceful surroundings create one of the day’s most memorable moments. It is an ideal opportunity to relax, appreciate the scenery and take beautiful photographs. Night Walk and Search for Tarantulas After dark, the rainforest comes alive in a completely different way. During this guided night walk, you will learn how animals can be identified through their sounds, movements and reflected light. We will search for tarantulas, insects and other nocturnal species. Conducted at a relaxed pace and under the guide’s supervision, this fascinating activity offers a different perspective of the rainforest and combines adventure with learning.

Sunrise in the Amazon Rainforest We will start very early to experience a unique sunrise over the river and rainforest. Golden light passing through the morning mist creates an almost surreal landscape. As the rainforest awakens, birds and other animals begin their daily activities, filling the surroundings with natural sounds. Your guide will explain the behaviour of different species during the early hours and how sunrise influences the rhythm of life in the Amazon. It is a peaceful and reflective experience, perfect for memorable photographs and a magical start to the day.

Amazonian Birdwatching After sunrise, we will take a gentle walk or a short boat trip to search for iconic Amazonian birds such as herons, eagles, parrots and other local species. This activity is ideal for nature photographers and anyone wishing to discover the remarkable diversity of Amazonian birdlife.

Piranha and Pacu Fishing Enjoy an authentic fishing experience using traditional techniques practised by Amazonian communities. This safe and entertaining activity allows every traveller to participate. It is an adventurous and memorable way to connect with the river and experience an important part of Amazonian life.

Searching for Amazonian Iguanas We will explore areas where iguanas are often found camouflaged among the branches or resting in the sun. Your guide will explain their behaviour, natural defences and adaptations to rainforest life. This peaceful activity encourages careful observation of details that can easily go unnoticed and may provide opportunities for close-up photographs.

Optional Visit to a Yagua Indigenous Community Travellers wishing to learn more about Amazonian culture may take an optional visit to a Yagua community, one of the region’s long-established Indigenous peoples. Community members will introduce visitors to aspects of their language, traditional clothing, handicrafts and customs. They may also demonstrate the traditional use of the blowpipe, an ancestral hunting tool. This is a respectful and educational cultural experience for travellers seeking both natural discovery and meaningful human connection in the Amazon.

Searching for Dolphins and Enjoying an Amazonian Sunset In the afternoon, we will navigate along the Amazon River in search of pink and grey river dolphins. Your guide will explain their habits, the areas where they are commonly seen and some of their most fascinating behaviours. As we continue along the river, the sun begins to set and the sky fills with golden and pink tones reflected on the water. Although dolphin sightings cannot be guaranteed, this peaceful and photogenic experience is one of the tour’s most memorable moments.

Amazonian Mud Bath and Swimming During the Dry Season During the dry season, when the river level is lower, you may enjoy a traditional Amazonian mud bath using the area’s naturally mineral-rich mud. Afterwards, you can swim in areas selected by the guide as suitable according to current river conditions. This is a fun and refreshing seasonal activity surrounded by the natural Amazonian landscape.

It is an ideal moment for reflection, photography and enjoying the rainforest at its most peaceful.
