On this walk it is possible to visit the three highest peaks: Pico do Areeiro, Pico das Torres and Pico Ruivo. This route runs through the immense and magnificent mountains of the Island. Enjoy stunning views of the rock formation, sometimes covered by clouds.
The Pico do Areeiro is a peak located on the island of Madeira with an altitude of 1818 meters. ( Walking tour with a duration of 5 hours. IMPORTANT ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: We would like to inform you that from January 1, 2025, the Forestry Institute of Madeira, together with the governmental authorities, have implemented a TAX of 10€ per person on all official walks of RP. It is a fee for the collection of waste and cleaning of the Classified Pedestrian Trails. This tax is NOT included in the price. The customer must make the payment on the day, at the place of the walk.
We offer transfers from all hotels in the municipality of Funchal and the city of Caniço. Collection starts at 08:00. Please let us know which hotel you are staying at. Collection outside the indicated locations, may incur an extra cost.
