Right between the Guy Fawkes Inn and Bootham Bar, we’ll look at the grisly and gory past of the city’s wall and bars, where unspeakable acts of horror and supernatural suspense go hand-in-icy-hand.

From the mist of the darkness the Night Child cometh. Though a child, she’s all horror, with a story that will leave you sleeping with your lights on for weeks to come. BEWARE … The Night Child!

We’ll hear about one of York’s most enduring - and endearing - spectrals, in one of the most uncanny tales ever told.

Swooping and snarling around the Minster towers in the dead of night can be found York’s very own creature feature, the hideous Gabble Ratchet … the last word in terror!

Within this tiny stone house, lies a secret, a terrible truth waiting to be unveiled. As we will pry open the coffin lid on a tale so shocking, so boldly revealing in its frank depiction of inhumanity, it will leave you asking, Who are the real monsters?
