Climbing La Picada: The viewpoint of Vicente Perez Rosales Park

e Osorno volcano, in the Vicente Pérez Rosales National Park. The journey begins before dawn with a drive to the head of the trail. In the first part of the trail, we will follow part of the "pass of desolation" before starting the ascent on the slopes of La Picada. The climbing route allows a safe and entertaining ascent throughout the year. In winter and spring with snowy slopes, and already in summer and autumn on rock and volcanic scree. The upper part will require some easy scrambling, for which no previous experience is required, only a good physical and mental condition for an intense journey on the volcanoes of southern Chile. The full-day will have about 16 kilometers of travel and almost 900 meters of altitude to overcome, the plan will be to leave from Puerto Varas at dawn, to make the most of our time in the heart of the Vicente Pérez Rosales National Park! On a normal climbing day, we will be back in Puerto Varas around 6 o 7 PM.
