You will then reach the Auberge Le Maquis, a haven of peace in the heart of the Ourika Valley, where a local chef will guide you in preparing a Berber tagine with chicken or meat. On the way, we’ll make a stop at Souk Tnine Ourika, an authentic market where you’ll discover local spices, vegetables and produce and choose the ingredients for your dish. At Auberge Le Maquis, you will be greeted with Moroccan tea and biscuits before joining the local chef for a Berber cooking workshop. You will learn how to prepare a traditional tagine, discovering the secrets of Moroccan spices and ancestral cooking techniques. After the preparation, enjoy your dish in the garden or by the pool, accompanied by salads and traditional bread. Finally, enjoy a moment of relaxation before returning to Marrakech, rich in discoveries and authentic flavors.
We take care of all travelers from Marrakech to Auberge Le Maquis in Ourika, with a roundtrip transfer included in air-conditioned vehicle and driven by a professional driver. Pick-up starts approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour before the start of the experience, depending on the location of your accommodation and traffic conditions. For hotels and riads located in the medina, a meeting point accessible by vehicle will be provided, as some streets are inaccessible by car. If you are staying outside the medina, pick-up is directly at your hotel or residence.
