Barcelona Gaudi Tour: Sagrada Familia, Casa Batllo & Casa Mila

The fantastic church of the Sagrada Familia and other modernist landmarks designed by Antoni Gaudí adorn the city. The Picasso Museum and the Joan Miró Foundation show the modern art of the artists that give rise to their names. The National Museum of Art of Catalonia (MNAC), located in the mountain of Montjuic.

It is a comprehensive remodeling of a building previously existing on the site, the work of Emilio Sala Cortés. It is located at number 43 of the Paseo de Gracia in Barcelona, the wide avenue that crosses the Ensanche district (Eixample), in the so-called Apple of Discord, because it houses in addition to this building other works by modernist architects: the Casa Amatller, adjacent to that of Gaudí, the work of Josep Puig i Cadafalch; the Casa Lleó Morera, the work of Lluís Domènech i Montaner; the Casa Mulleras, by Enric Sagnier; and the Casa Josefina Bonet, by Marceliano Coquillat. The construction took place between 1904 and 1906.
