The palace has a patterns of lines that cross each other to form square. The palace has Govind temple, dedicated to Lord Krishna, Sabha Niwas, Sarvato bhadra, Chandra Mahal and Mubark Mahal. The royal family still resides here. Later, we will visit Hawa Mahal.
It has 953 windows, known as jharokhas. The jharokhas are latticed windows so that ladies could watch the royal proceedings. It was constructed to let cool air pass through the Mahal in the summers.
