This is why they now live in these special shelters. This shelter rotates the sloths that travelers come across around every 4 hours so they are always well-rested! We will visit communities from different ethnic groups. A true local myself, I'm part of one of 9 different ethnic groups on our island, which include people from Latin America, Africa, and Europe. We'll drive through Los Fuertes, the biggest Latino community in Roatan, and visit Punta Gorda, where the Garifuna community lives. Some Garifonas start their day fishing in the early morning, and return hours later to sell their catches!
