Enoshima is often used as the setting for movies and various other productions, and is a popular spot visited by many tourists from Japan and abroad throughout the year. Eshima Shrine is famous as the god of marriage, entertainment, music, and wisdom, and there are plenty of gourmet foods and souvenirs to be had on the way there. Past the shrine is the Sea Candle, the symbol of Enoshima, and the Samuel Cocking Garden that surrounds it. The history of this botanical garden began when Samuel Cocking, an Irish trader based in Yokohama, purchased the land and began landscaping. It is still a popular spot for visitors to enjoy various flowers and illuminations each season. The Sea Candle, as its name suggests, is a "lighthouse of the sea. From the top floor, you can enjoy a panoramic view of Enoshima Island.

This small-group walking tour is designed for couples and partners who wish to experience Enoshima at a slower, more meaningful pace. Rather than rushing through highlights, the tour invites you to walk the island as a place shaped by the sea, faith, and the passage of time. Enoshima has long been known as a place of connection—between land and ocean, belief and daily life, and people who continue to walk side by side. As you move along coastal paths, shrine grounds, and island viewpoints, the scenery unfolds not as spectacle, but as something quietly shared. The route follows a carefully planned path and maintains a calm rhythm, allowing time to pause, look out over the sea, and take in the atmosphere together. The focus is not on covering every corner of the island, but on creating space for conversation, reflection, and presence. Conducted in a small group and available by advance reservation only, this experience offers a gentle way to explore Enoshima beyond typical sightseeing.

I have a rich overseas experience, and am so friendly that it can be mistaken for locals in any country I visit. Why don't you come and spend some fun time with me, a local? I have had the opportunity to travel to 60 countries and have lived in England, Mexico and Italy. However, I believe that the Miura Peninsula, where I was born and raised, is the most attractive place in the world, surrounded by the sea, rich in nature, with the Miura Alps in the middle, scenic and warm, with both sea and mountain food to be enjoyed. In particular, Yokosuka was visited by many foreigners, who brought with them various cultures and technologies such as iron and steel making and shipbuilding, and marked the start of a new era in Japan. Please feel with all your senses how various foreign cultures and histories have had a great influence on Japan and how Japan has developed. Please fully enjoy the charms of Miura Peninsula, which can be visited in just over an hour from Tokyo, walking with me.
