Explore the Yorkshire Dales National Park, but with a particular focus on the countryside and locations used for filming the new All Creatures Great & Small TV series starring Nicholas Ralph in the lead role of Yorkshire Vet, James Herriot, first shown on Channel 5 in 2020. You will have photo stops in Barden, Malham, Arncliffe, Hawkswick and Burnsall and a longer stop in Grassington, used as the main filming location for "Darrowby". You will also have the option to visit the award-winning World of James Herriot Visitor Attraction in Thirsk to see where Alf White (the real James Herriot) lived, worked and wrote his series of books, based upon his experiences as a young Yorkshire Vet. If you do want to visit the World of James Herriot, we will take you there first in the morning as it sets the scene for the rest of the tour. If not, you can spend the additional time enjoying more of the Yorkshire Dales - the choice is yours and can just be agreed with your Driver in the morning!

A fantastic walk around the city centre of York, enjoying stories about its long history. You and the host Kay will visit 5 great independent eateries, all serving delicious food with great passion. Food that is all sourced locally and with influences from around the world and each carefully chosen tasting makes up part of the city's vibrant food and drink scene. With a knowledgeable guide and the company of other foodies, you and your taste buds will not only thoroughly enjoy yourself but you'll be supporting these local independents too. You will be walking around the city centre and will end on Castlegate. You walk a little less than a mile in total. It is all flat although some of the streets are cobbled. There are minimal stairs at all your tastings although some have restrooms which are accessed by stairs. The host Kay do recommend having a very small breakfast – you want to save yourself for some delicious tastings!

Castle Howard is a place and palace like no other where for over 300 years the Howard family have been welcoming visitors. In just one visit you'll see a palace, a town, a fortified city, temples, magnificent woods, hills, valleys and a mausoleum. Heading out of York, you'll take in breathtaking views of York Minster as you head into the Vale of York. You'll then be driven through the charming villages of Sutton on Forest and Stililngton both mentioned in William the Conquerer’s Domesday Book after which the imposing York Minster comes into view. After driving through the Howardian Hills and former Castle Howard estate village of Bulmer you'll arrive at Castle Howard where you'll have the chance to stop for a coffee and browse the estate's shops.
