Our next stop is Trakai and the beautiful island castle where you can try a traditional Kibinai pastry (included). Kaunas will be 2 hours either together or solo, as you wish - you can also join me for lunch. We will take 30 minutes at the ninth fort victims of fascism monument on the way back. Finally we have 60 mins in Kernavė!

Join me for a journey through Lithuania's layered identity — Teutonic Knights, the Polish union, Soviet rule, basketball obsession, and the quiet pride of a country that refused to disappear. My commentary is personal, the history is real, and the route takes you through both the Soviet-era blocks and the UNESCO-listed Old Town before heading out to Trakai. I will play music along the journey, from eurovision to songs of the forest by the fire, and then in Trakai there is free time to explore including optional castle entrance (14€ in high season) as well as lunch with me at a classic traditional spot!
