Our first stage will take you to Bergheim, a superb village on the wine route, which conceals many wonders hidden in the heart of its medieval walls. Maison ZEYSSOLFF is one of the few wineries in Alsace with some twenty century-old oak foudres, each with a capacity of 10,000L, still in use for the vinification of its wines. Its greatest curiosity is the ZEYSSOLFF barrel, made in 1897 for the Paris Universal Exhibition (1900). This barrel is still in use today. The immersive experience, with projections on the barrels and sound work, is unique in France. Children are welcome on the tour, which is suitable for all ages. Our estate is farmed organically. Visit the most important places of the Alsace Wine Route with a convertible minibus. We start the day by discovering the Château du Haut-Koenigsbourg. Once the visit of the castle is over, we will take the wine route to head to the village of Riquewihr, you will have enough time to visit the village and have lunch. Then we will join Kaysersberg, elected favorite village of the French in 2017, which you can freely visit. We end the day with a stop in Colmar, the capital of Alsace wines, where you can discover the world-famous Little Venice district. You will have free time to visit the city.

From 1870 to 1945, Alsace was a major war zone between France and Germany. This tour will explore the history of the Alsatians, first under German rule, then under French. We will discover remnants of these wars and visit Struthof (a concentration camp at 900 meters altitude), a Nazi German concentration camp. For a lighter touch, we will conclude the tour with a visit to one of the most beautiful panoramic views of Alsace and Christendom at Mont Sainte-Odile. It is important to bring a waterproof jacket and warm clothing depending on the weather. A written description and audio guide are available in English for Struthof.
