Those travelling to Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon should not miss this excursion as an ice cave tour is truly a unique experience.Your adventure starts at Jökulsárlón where your guides for the day will meet you and hand out equipment for the ice caves. You'll then board a modified 4x4, or a super jeep, to get to the caves. The drive up to the caves takes only about 30 minutes, but it is exciting, and the magnificent scenery on the way up there will surely take your breath away. The guides are very informative and entertaining; they will tell you facts about the area, stories from the community, fairytales and everything you would like to know. When you arrive, there is a short walk to the ice caves, and your guides continue to inform you about the great Vatnajökull glacier. Once in the cave, you will get a good time to explore, take pictures and just enjoy yourself on your vacation.
