We start from Salta city heading north on National Route 9, passing through the outskirts of San Salvador de Jujuy to enter the Quebrada de Humahuaca, Cultural and Natural Heritage of Humanity. The first village we will visit will be Purmamarca, typical village with a multicolored fair in the central square, adobe houses, church of St. Rose of Lima and the spectacular Hill of the Seven Colors. The next village to be visited is Maimará where we can appreciate the colors of the Painter's Palette. In Tilcara we will make a city tour and in Huacalera we will know the monolith with the legend Tropico de Capricorn and its symbol. In Humahuaca we will have lunch and you can appreciate the Monument to the Inca, Heroes of Independence. Finally, we will visit the Serranía del Hornocal (Cerro de los 14 Colores) where "Mi Obra Maestra" was filmed. It's about the end of cretaceous time when the last dinosaurs lived 75 million years ago.

This excursion will delight us with the variety and contrast of the landscapes that we will visit, we leave Salta by route 9 for the town of Purmamarca from where, after a technical stop, we will start climbing the Lipan Hill that will allow us to reach after 25 km of the 2500 mts of height above sea level at 4200 mts amid imposing landscapes, and from there descend to the majestic Salinas Grandes, where we will be in contact with the salt workers, and teach us about their trade. Back we can appreciate the native fauna composed of llamas and vicuñas. Once back in Purmamarca, where we will have lunch, we will visit Los Colorados imposing formation located behind the 7 colors Hill. After touring the town we start the return to Salta through it.

Our excursion will start in the center of Salta, we will head south on the RN 68 passing through four tobacco towns. The first stop will be in Talapampa, a country place to rest for twenty minutes or so, then continue to Germany, a former railway village founded by Germans where five families currently live. In this village the magic of the trip will begin: the nature reserve Quebrada de las Conchas. There we will visit sedimentary formations of 65 million years as Devil's Throat, Amphitheater, Toad, Plaster, among others. Due to its rich archaeological and historical past, the reserve has numerous fossil remains. After a thorough exploration, we will visit a vineyard and taste some of the best wines offered in the region, including Torrontes. In the village of Cafayate we will be two hours. One for lunch and one for touring. Then we will all meet and return to the city of Salta

We will head for RN 68 towards the tobacco towns of Cerrillos, La Merced and El Carril to turn off for RP 33 to the West. There we will enter the Andes Precordillera through the Quebradas de Los Laureles and Escoipe. Then we will begin to walk the famous Cuesta del Obispo, a meandering path surrounded by impressive rock formations and natural walls where we can see the king of the skies, El Condor. The slope will deposit us in the enchanted valley and the Millstone, our highest point 3348 meters above sea level. From this point, our landscape will change radically and we will enter the desert of the puna, where we will travel the Tin Tin straight, part of the Inca Trail, Los Cardones National Park, Payogasta, and Cachi.
