At 4,167m, Mount Toubkal is the highest mountain in North Africa. The hike to the summit is challenging, but it requires no mountaineering experience and the view from its summit makes the hard work worthwhile. Day 1: Marrakech - Imlil - Toubkal Refuge: After a transfer to the village of Imlil we begin our trek. Heading along the Maizane Valley, we first pass the village of Armed and then onto the shrine of Sidi Chamharouch. We then continue our journey by crossing the floodplains.
