We begin our tour here, and then head to Pokhara the following day. After our Kathmandu exploration, we begin our journey to Muktinath. We can either drive or fly to Pokhara, depending on your flexibility (time wise and financially). From Pokhara, we head to Muktinath via private vehicle. Muktinath is a sacred pilgrimage spot, where people from all over India and Nepal come to visit and pay homage. If you bath in the sacred water at Muktinath, you will be broken from the cycle of death and rebirth, thus reaching Moksha (liberation). In the area, you will get spectacular mountain views and a chance to buy a Shaligram, which according to Hindu mythology, holds the soul of Lord Vishnu.

Bagmati is a holy river, locals believes that cremated death soul will directly go to the heaven. After cremation, the family member does follow for 12 days as mourning period. Along the days, the family members are not allowed to eat certain vegetables, meats. The family members are only allow wearing white cloths and white shoes. Using the leather wears is prohibited. On the 12th days, the Hindu priest will come and organize puja ceremony with using specific mantra in the name of the decreased one. After that, the family members are allowed to come to their normal lifestyle.

Dakshinkali temple is one of the main Hindu temples in Nepal dedicated to the goddess Kali. The temple is located 22km south of Kathmandu, outside the city. It takes nearly 2 hours drive via Pharping where you could see most of the monasteries on the way. The temple is surrounded by greenery forest and quite enjoyable. The distance between Kathmandu and Lumbini is about 330 km, taking approximately 10–11 hours by road. Lumbini, the birthplace of Gautam Buddha, welcomes thousands of visitors every year. From Kathmandu, the deluxe AC tourist bus departs from Gongabu Bus Park and drops passengers at Gate No. 5 of the Maya Devi Temple in Lumbini, located close to the Lumbini Garden and within easy reach of hotels. For the return trip, buses from Lumbini to Kathmandu also depart from near the Lumbini Garden. The usual route for the Kathmandu–Lumbini tourist bus is: Gongabu Bus Park – Balaju – Kalanki – Malakhu – Mugling – Narayanghat – Nawalparasi – Butwal – Bhairahawa – Lumbini (Maya Devi Temple, Gate No. 5).
