On Lake Bodom, the largest in the Helsinki region, located just 25 minutes from central Helsinki, I invite you to an ice fishing initiation using the Pilkki, the Nordic fishing rod! Once there we will walk on the lake to find the ideal place where there is the best chance of catching fish. I will then explain how to make a hole in the ice and how to use the pilkki. Then it's up to you! You will be ready to catch lots of fish! At the end, in a Laavu, the traditional refuge, I will make a fire to be able to grill the makkara, the traditional sausages. There is also an option for vegetarians. I will also serve you a delicious glögi as well as piparri, traditional cookies.
