From there, you’ll make your way down to Broughton Street, the heart of LGBTQ+ Edinburgh. Along the way, I’ll point out the site of the country’s first LGBT centre, and where Scotland’s first queer bookshop, Lavender Menace, used to be. On this tour you will explore some historic fishing ports and sandy beaches along the craggy coastline of Fife’s East Neuk. First stop is Anstruther, a busy seaside village famous for its award -winning fish and chips which taste even better eaten in the fresh air overlooking the lovely harbour. Next stop: Crail, a charming fishing village with plenty of buildings of historical interest, including the Tollbooth with its tower dating from about 1600. Get ready to take some pictures of the UK´s most photographed harbour. Finally, we head to St Andrews, known for its historic university, medieval streets and gorgeous traditional buildings. Whilst there, we will walk around the Cathedral of St Andrew, a ruined cathedral built in 1158 which became the centre of the Medieval Catholic Church.
