During this amazing and unique tour, we will tour the Salt Mines at Maras, where you can see locals collecting salt from pools in the same way that the Incas did. Then we will hike down to the floor of the Sacred Valley using one of the original Inca trails that was used to transport the salt towards Machu Picchu. Our driver will pick us up and transport us to a local organic farm where we will take a tour, tasted local fruits and vegetables and cut alfalfa to feed the guinea pigs. Then we will go to Urubamba to visit a local non-touristic market and an incredible pottery workshop.

We will start early in the morning with your pick up from your accommodation. Then, we'll drive for 3 hours to the village of Mollepata (2,900 masl / 9,515 ft), where we will have a delicious breakfast and have energy to go to Soraypampa (3,850 masl / 12,631 ft). From this point, we will start the trek to the lake. During the ascent, we will have the opportunity to observe the diverse flora and fauna that inhabit the area.
