Spend the day in the lovely landscapes of Central Europe’s largest freshwater lake on a full-day tour of Lake Balaton. Depart from Budapest and travel by air-conditioned bus to the beautiful town of Balatonfüred. Located on the north coast of Lake Balaton, the town is famously referred to as the capital city of the lake. You can experience an overview of city first by taking a short trip by “nostalgia train” around the area as well as a 1-hour cruise on Lake Balaton. Afterwards, you will have some free time to take a stroll along the picturesque promenade and enjoy some lunch (not included). Later on, drive to the “Tihany Peninsula” to see why it was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The area is rich with architecture and vineyards that produce excellent quality wine. Get a unique view of Lake Balaton from the hilltop before going to the Abbey of Tihany, founded in 1055. Come and be part of an amazing experience - visit the Hungarian Puszta (part of the Great Plain). First we visit Kecskemét city to see the difference between a town in the countryside and the bustling city of Budapest. Kecskemét has an individual image and its downtown recalls the Hungarian folk art noveau of the past century. We continue to Lajosmizse. At the farm we are are greated by a traditional strong spirit, so called Pálinka. Before a horseshow we get on a carriage for a ride in the “puszta”. Our program goes on with the heart-breaking attraction of the Hungarian “csikós” (Hungarian horsemen). Then we walk along the stable to see the horses (riding is optional) and walk around the indigenous Hungarian animal courtyards. You have a 3 course country-style lunch including Hungarian goulash with wine which will be ‘served’ in authentic Hungarian "Csarda". Return to Budapest. The tour ends in the city centre.

Take a private tour from Budapest to the unique 300-meter-long cave system of Tapolca, situated under the heart of the charming town near Lake Balaton. It was opened to the public in 1912 after ten years of its discovery. Small boats can be hired to explore the cave system. Merely 15–20 m below the town a 5 km long cave system criss-crosses the Miocene limestone layers. This includes the 3.3 km long cave lake, which is mostly filled with karst water. The cave was discovered in 1903 during well digging. After visiting the cave lake you will have time to stroll along the streets of Tapolca , have lunch by the lake and then discover the next settlement of Tihany with a beautiful view to Lake Balaton.
