Bale Mountains National Park is suitably a walking, trekking and hiking area for hikers, culture and nature enthusiasts, wildlife watchers, researchers and more. The park is known for being home to the Ethiopian wolf, mountain nyala, giant molerat and Bale monkey. UNESCO has estimated that more mammal species would become extinct were the habitats of the Bale Mountains to decline than if any other area of equivalent size on the globe were to disappear and, when this is combined with rare amphibian species, endemic birds and spectacular flora, it is easy to see why the park is designated as a Biodiversity Hotspot by Conservation International.

This trip allows you to visit most of the famous Omo Valley tribes authentically and uniquely. Southern Ethiopia is rich in ethnic origins, and this area has yielded the first examples of primitive man. Although the migration of people eventually lead to the population of the whole planet, the original tribes of the valleys remain. There is a rich linguistic tradition, with 45 languages spoken by tribes ranging from the Borena and Mursi, to the smaller Karo and Dassanech (or Galeb) tribes. There are a fascinating range of cultural practices, a good example being the way in which they build their homes. The Sidama, Gurage and Dorze use bamboo in their beehive-like constructions, creating sturdy homes tailored to the environment with great endurance. Living along the Lower Omo River, the Karo tribe is one of rich, cultural rituals with the people who are known for their chalk painted bodies and amazing head-dresses.

4th century Ad rock hewn church "The Cave of Michael") is a rock-hewn semi-monolithic church located in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Historians and the Ethiopian Orthodox Church date it back as far as the 4th century AD pointing to its resemblance to Aksumite era churches in other regions of Ethiopia and to the Sabaean artifacts found at the site of the church. They further explain that structures in and around the church show that the area was once used as a training ground for the horsemen of the Aksumite armies of King Ezana, arguing that the area was one of the territory held by the vast Kingdom of Aksum. It is a popular tourist destination. While hiking to the church you will enjoy the beautiful geographics , and a good location for a sight seeing of Addis.
