Mount Etna and Taormina
We will be picking you up from the shore of your port and drive to the highest and active volcano of Europe. During the ascent different kinds of vegetation can be noted. We will reach 2.000 meters where we then take a walk together to visit the "Silvestri" craters and the latest new lava flows and craters from 2001/2003. On the way, we visit a local family farm where it is possible to taste local Etna wine, a selection of different types of honey (orange, lemon, eucalyptus, strawberry...), almond pastries, olives, extra virgin olive oil.Driving down from the mount through a wonderful pine tree forest, we get to the highlights of Taormina. Not to miss is a visit to the Greek Theatre, a stroll to the mean street "Corso Umberto" with several art and designers shops, Baroque churches and Palazzi. We will arrive at Porta Catania, the main street of Taormina, where we will normally stay for about 2 hours, but if you want to stay longer it will not be a problem.
