Fanal is one of the most emblematic places in Madeira, it is located between the Ribeira da Janela and the Planalto do Paúl da Serra. Widely known for its unique beauty and its centenary Tis Trees(Ocotea foetens), these specimens that resist time date back to the period prior to the discovery of the island. They are part of the Laurissilva forest classified as World Natural Heritage by UNESCO since December 1999 and are part of the European Network of Sites of Community Importance - Natura 2000 Network. We will go along the road and stop at other points of interest or beautiful viewpoints. We walk in the Fanal park and enjoy the beauty of these ancient trees and their stunning atmosphere especially if we have the common foggy weather.

Levada dos Tornos is one of the most important levadas that passes through a big part of the Madeira Island to bring water from the north to the south. This walk will take you to the very beginning of this important levada. The path begins in the area of Lombo do Urzal (Boaventura) near a group of houses and you must go up until you find the levada. Turn right and follow the levada which will lead you to the origin of the Levada dos Tornos, where you will find a beautiful waterfall. Stay for a moment in this place before returning by the same route, but this time, toward Fajã do Penedo. Along the way enjoy nature and all the surrounding, composed by the living green of the lush vegetation. At the beginning of this trail stand out the well cultivated farmland, providing a pleasant sight to walkers. Among them stand out the fantastic panoramic views of the valley and the beautiful village of Ponta do Sol, that this route offers us. Enjoy the walk and all that it has to offer. Delight yourself with the sights, the endemic flora and fauna and waterfalls. By the end of the route you can climb the path that leads to the Levada Nova. Once there, follow the opposite direction until you reach the impressive waterfall of this Levada. It is certainly a fascinating vision that deserves a few moments of contemplation before continuing. You can continue the path by Levada Nova, although it is important to know that there are several areas with abyss and no protection, so is not recommended for inexperienced hikers. During the weekend all roads lead to Santo da Serra. Located at 667m high, this environmental paradise has its own characteristics. Every weekend a traditional madeiran market takes place with genuine products and plenty of gastronomy where locals and tourists get together. At this locality various Quintas (farming ranches) are available for the public to visit for free. When the market in Santo is closed we head to Funchal Farm Market to visit this amazing building constructed on 1940, here you can see all kind of fruits, vegetables and flowers the island has to offer.

The banana from Madeira is a subspecies of the original banana and grown extensively on the island of Madeira, traditionally smaller than the South American banana but accentuated on the palate. It is supplemented with sucrose, glucose, fructose, fibers, potassium, magnesium and various vitamins from clusters A, B and vitamin C. We will visit the Banana museum where you can understand a little bit more about the history and cultural influence of the banana and how this famous fruit grows in the Island. We will also visit Madalena do Mar, an area that almost only grows banana and walk around the plantations and levadas of the area, and end our tour with a magnificent view over Madalena do Mar

The Madeira Theme Park, located in the city of Santana, is a fantastic exhibition center dedicated to the history, science and tradition of the Madeira Islands. It occupies an area of 145,000 m2 and should not be missed by visitors; it is the only one of its kind in Portugal. The Park's main attractions are the four multimedia pavilions; "Discovery of the Islands", "Future of the Earth", "Fantastic Voyage in Madeira" and "A World of Islands, The Islands of the World". A replica of the Monte train, traditional oxcarts and nets, a traditional Santana. The visit to the garden area is open to all, an open space area disclosing some specimens of the island indigenous flora, and footpaths, which are also among some interesting features of this cultural and scientific attraction.

We started this tour to the eastern area of the island with a visit to the Christ King in Garajau, We cross the Villa do Porto da Cruz, a region known for the production of some of the wine in the region, continuing towards the city of Santana where it has the famous houses with roofs. After lunch at Faial we started the mountain climb towards Ribeiro Frio where we visited the trout vineyard and took a small walk along the Levada dos Balcões. We continue the journey to one of the tallest peaks of Madeira with 1810 m, the Pico do Arieiro. Visit the Câmara de Lobos following Cabo Girão with 580m high, famous for its platform suspended in glass, Ribeira Brava, Ponta de Sol. In Porto Moniz so that our guests can enjoy lunch and enjoy the natural pools. Returning to Funchal, we passed the Miradouro (Véu da Noiva) making the return to Funchal by the town of São Vicente.

We will visit the Monte parish, where we take you to their public gardens around the church, we will visit it's beautiful church and also we will see the old train station that used to be there before. The Monte parish was created on 9th February 1565, based on devotion to Our Lady of Monte, which dates from the fifteenth century. With the flood of 1803, the Our Lady of Monte became evoked as the patron saint of Madeira and, in 1818, the church was inaugurated in her honour. Monte boasts some of the most beautiful palaces and many other aspects that embrace this place with timeless romanticism.
