Western Pará is famous for being considered the heart of the Amazon. In this region is the historic city of Santarém, poetically known as the Pearl of Tapajós. It considers a city a starting point for discoveries, such as the most beautiful freshwater beaches in the world, in Vila de Alter do Chão. From there, we'll cross by canoe and follow a trail that can only be accessed on foot or by bicycle. However, to contemplate more properly, it is better to get very close to observe, as the scenery is really stunning, so much so that some of our clients lose control (in a good way, of course) and even jump in the water to feel their skin. The difference between the two rivers. In one of these opportunities, we heard that “It is simply a wonderful sensation, because the water in the Amazon is denser, as if it is heavier and hotter, whereas the Tapajos water is lighter and cooler”.
