In just an hour’s driving distance from Ulaanbaatar there lies the Terelj NP, the most easily accessible part of the nearly 2mln hectare Khan Khenty strictly protected area. Terelj, meaning rhododendron is just a tiny but nevertheless a spectacular part of it, a fantastic venue for hiking and horseback riding.
