It's a really great way to round out your Nuremberg WW2 knowledge. What you'll see During this tour, we will start by visiting the "Luitpold Arena" site, the "Congress Hall", "The Great Street", and the "Zeppelin Field". Adolf Dassler (known as "Adi") began producing his own sports shoes in the kitchen of his mother's house in Herzogenaurach, Bavaria after his return from World War I. In 1927. During the 1936 Summer Olympics, Adi Dassler headed from Bavaria to the Olympic Village to convince African-American sprinter Jesse Owens to wear his shoes. From the medieval Meat Bridge engineered like Venice's Rialto to the tunnels where citizens hid priceless art from Allied bombs, this Nuremberg walking tour covers 600 years of empire, rebellion, and reinvention. You'll stand where the Reformation took hold, walk a corridor of pillars confronting the city's darkest chapter, and discover a fountain built to disguise a subway vent. The app guides you stop by stop with maps and narration — no fixed start time, no group to keep up with. Pause for a Bratwurst, linger in a Gothic church, or skip ahead.
