With a depth of more than 3000m it is the deepest inland water body in Africa. Lake Chala Safari Camp is a beautiful private game reserve overlooking Lake Chala. You’ll arrive there and our guide will take you down to the lakeside, through vividly green flora, with the blue, blue lake ahead of you. Its water is incredibly clear and plenty of fish can be seen, but swimming is not recommended. The walk at the lake offers interesting views, but is a bit challenging. It is common to spot lizards, baboons, different species of monkeys and snakes. At Lake Chala Safari Camp there is nice bar at the lake view where you can enjoy your drink after your Lake Chala Day Trip.

The Machame route is considered a difficult route, and is better suited for more adventurous folks and those with some hiking or backpacking experience. The route begins from the south, then heads east, traversing underneath Kilimanjaro’s southern ice field before summiting. The minimum number of days required for this route is six days, although seven days is recommended. The Machame route is scenically beautiful and varied. The eight-day Lemosho route variation is the ideal schedule for this route. On the 8-day Lemosho route, the trek from Barranco to Barafu is broken up into two days, allowing for a short day just prior to the summit attempt. This is important because summit day begins very early, around midnight, so climbers are sleep deprived going into the toughest day on the mountain. By having a short day beforehand, climbers can be better rested. The eight-day Lemosho route is highly recommended and used by most prominent Kilimanjaro operators.

The Ngorongoro Conservation Area in Tanzania is unique and attractive for several reasons. At its heart is the Ngorongoro Crater, the world's largest inactive volcanic caldera, offering breathtaking views and a diverse ecosystem. The crater hosts a dense population of wildlife, including the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino), making it a prime location for safaris. Additionally, the area is home to the Maasai people, who continue to live traditionally, offering cultural tours and insights into their way of life. The Olduvai Gorge, known as the "Cradle of Mankind," provides a glimpse into early human evolution with its fossils and ancient tools. The conservation area also features a variety of landscapes, from highland forests and grasslands to swamps and lakes, providing stunning scenery, moving sand and rich biodiversity.

Rongai is a moderately difficult route, and is highly recommended, especially for those with less backpacking experience. The West Kilimanjaro plains are a region in northern Tanzania comprising of both Maasai community lands and Wildlife Management Areas (WMAs). The region is filled with acacia woodland and open plains that support a remarkable variety of wildlife and spectacular views of Mt. Kilimanjaro. The most common animals in the area include wildebeest, zebra, gazelles, impalas, giraffes and baboons. Depending on the time of the year, elephants can also be observed as the region lies along an elephant corridor linking Kenya’s Amboseli’s National Park & Mt. Kilimanjaro. This region is home to the nomadic Maasai herdsmen who co-exist with the surrounding wildlife, hence the term "Maasai Land". Given the rich culture of the Maasai people and the variety of wildlife, a cycling tour in this area is ideal for those discerning travelers looking for an unforgettable off-the-beaten-path adventure experience that includes walking, photography, culture and scenery.
