This 1 day safari will take you to Lake Mburo National park which is among Uganda’s smallest National Parks; the park has variety of wildlife species including the Impalas, topis, oribis, the defassa water buck, bush bucks, the common duikers, zebras, bofor reed buck, giraffes, kobs, antelopes, birds and many more. This national park was gazetted in 1933 as a protected hunting ground and up graded into a national park in 1983 to encourage the conservation of both vegetation as well as wildlife. Being a home to 5 lakes, these lakes act as habitats to many animal species especially the crocodiles and hippos and other animals are always found at the shores as well as birds. The Savannah lake also has two primate species including; the olive monkey and the vervet monkey.
