Our tour includes 1 Distillery Tour Admission fee at any available distillery listed in our itinerary. We will then be visiting as many distilleries that we can within the tour duration. They all offer tastings which we leave up to your discretion to enjoy. You can alternatively choose to simply wander about their impressive stunning grounds. Booking a distillery tour on your own is highly discouraged as it will disrupt the itinerary. However, if you have booked one, please inform us beforehand so that we can find a way to work around it.

We'll head north from Inverness, over the Kessock and Cromarty bridges then take the high road to Millionaire's View. Beautiful vistas north, east and west over the Dornoch Firth and beyond. Descending back to sea level we'll enjoy the Discovery Tour at BALBLAIR DISTILLERY, nestled on the southern shore of the Dornoch Firth, one of Scotland's best kept whisky secrets. By way of contrast, we'll head just a few miles east along the firth to GLENMORANGIE DISTILLERY. We can take their Classic tour, or simply enjoy a dram or two in their tasting rooms. A late lunch at the wonderful Platform 1864 restaurant / coffee shop in Tain then south west along the A9 to Tore. We'll head south from Inverness over The Slochd Summit from where we see our first view of The Cairngorm Mountains. We continue on to the Highland Folk Museum, Newtonmore where you can discover the history and heritage of The Scottish Highlands. From here we will enjoy a lovely tour along the quieter back roads of Badenoch & Strathspey. We'll visit Ruthven Barracks before passing through Rothiemurchus and Loch Morlich. Our journey then takes us up to Cairngorm ski area and UK’s highest mountain railway. Experience Cairngorm Mountain and enjoy wonderful panoramic views from UK’s highest restaurant, over 1000 metres up. Back down in Strathspey we can go looking for red squirrels and perhaps Ospreys amid our indigenous Caledonian Pine Forest by Loch Garten and Nethy Bridge. Our tour takes us on to Grantown-on-Spey and, if time allows, we can enjoy an envigorating dram or two on our way home at either Tomatin or the new Cairn Distillery.
