Mostar is the capital of Herzegovina region. It is situated in a valley completely surrounded by mountains. Its unique history attracts millions of tourists who visit Mostar every year. The city is divided in two parts by the river Neretva – one being mainly under the western influence, and the other under the oriental one. This walking tour includes sightseeing through the Old Town of Dubrovnik where there are material traces of the restoration of the city after the Homeland War (1991/1995). It provides the brief introduction to the history of Croatian war for the independence which was a part of Yugoslavia break up. Dubrovnik became the front line of this war in 1991 and for almost 8 months the town was besieged and constantly bombed. On a request it can include a cable car ride to the Mountain Srđ over the city and a visit to the Homeland War Museum situated in the Fort Imperial on the top of the mountain.
