One of the 19th century super stars was a Norwegian musician from Bergen. He was a virtuoso violinist named Ole Bull and he lived on the Island of Light - the Lysøen - where this tour will take you and where you can visit Ole Bull's amazing villa. During this 4-hours long tour in your own private car with your own private driver-guide, we will drive from Bergen centre to Buena quay. From there a small passenger ferry leaves to the Lysøen island regularly. On the island you will visit the gorgeous villa, which is now a museum, on a guided tour. Local producers as well as Viking artisans from other countries come to Gudvangen to sell their goods and crafts, converse and just have fun. Great chance to buy gifts and authentic Viking souvenirs. In the Viking Village you can take a guided tour and learn about the Viking history and culture. Our tour starts from Bergen and we travel to the Nærøyfjord. The picturesque fjord is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. On our drive we pass through scenic valleys with calm lakes and raging rivers, waterfalls, quaint little towns and villages surrounded by neat and almost toy-like farms on the slopes of hills and mountains. A fjord cruise from Gudvangen to Flåm is absolutely recommended. A private cruise from the city to a remote fjord outside Bergen. We leave Bergen, with the backdrop of the seven mountains surrounding the city, including Mount Fløyen and Mount Ulriken. The scenery changes from the second largest city in Norway, to when we move into the fjords, and depending on temperature, hopefully reach the ice. Enjoy the day on the fjords, and hopefully it will be cold enough for some ice bathing. If no ice, it will any way be cold enough for a really refreshing dip in the fjord, maybe under a cascading waterfall. When you come back in the boat, we have towels, a warm shower, a warm cup of coffee/ tea, or a glas of champagne ready for you. Price including snacks and refreshments onboard, and towels for the bath. Lunch can be arranged onboard, extra. Ice bathing cruise only operate through the winter, October - March. We can not guarantee ice (depending on temperature), but at least a cold and refreshing bath during this season.
