A less travelled route, Lemosho offers a more pristine trail to the summit, with lush rainforest and fabulous wilderness experiences, particularly on the first three days of the climb. The time taken to walk across the wilderness of the Shira Plateau allows climbers to get used to the altitude before tackling the busy Barafu route to the summit.

Known as the “ Whiskey route”, Truly Machame route is the most popular route and has a very high success rate of making it to the top. It offers beautiful and natural features of landscape. It starts with a nice day of walking through the rainforest and has a nice steady altitude increase each day. The accommodation on the way up and down is strictly camping (movable tents) only. The Machame Route takes you high to Lava Tower on day 3 then brings you down for an overnight at Barranco Camp. This intermediate ascent and descent is the secret to a successful acclimatization and is the reason that this route has a high success rate.

Lemosho route is one of the quietest route on the mountain and begins from the western side of the mountain; the trail passes through some of the mountains finest features, including the cloud forest of Kilimanjaro’s southern plains, the dry and dusty Shira Plateau and the delightful groundsel-clad Barranco campsite. Furthermore, you have a choice of ascent routes to the summit, with the thrill-seekers opting for the daunting Western Breach route to the summit, while majority head for the lengthy, long winded climb up the Barafu trail, with the Rebmann glacier edging into your field of vision on your left as dawn breaks behind Mawenzi on your right. Furthermore, unlike Marangu route, on Lemosho route you don’t use the same path to descend as you took to climb up the mountain but instead you come down via the Mweka route,

Marangu Route. Known as the "Coca-Cola" route, the Marangu route is a classic trek on Mount Kilimanjaro. It is the oldest, most well established route. Many favor the Marangu route because it is considered to be the easiest path on the mountain, given its gradual slope. It is also the only route which offers sleeping huts in dormitory style accommodations. The minimum days required for this route is five, although the probability of successfully reaching the top in that time period is quite low. Spending an extra acclimatization day on the mountain is highly recommended when climbing Kilimanjaro using the Marangu route. However, despite its immense popularity, we avoid leading climbs on the Marangu route. The route has the least scenic variety of all the routes because the ascent and descent are done on the same path and it is the most crowded route for that reason. Marangu is favored only during the rainy season, where the hut accommodations are preferred.

The Shira Route is a little used trail that begins near Shira Ridge. It is nearly identical to the Lemosho route. In fact, Shira was the original route and Lemosho is the improved variation. Although Shira is a varied and beautiful route, it is less favorable than its successor due to the relatively high altitude of Shira's starting point, which is accessed quickly by vehicle. It is possible that climbers will experience some altitude related symptoms on the first day while camping at 11,800 feet.

Standing vigil over Tanzania’s untamed landscapes, the world’s tallest free-standing mountain hails mountaineers and nature enthusiasts from all over the world. Mt Kilimanjaro ascends above the clouds, standing at an impressive 5 895 meters (19 340 feet), offering an array of diverse habitats such as lush montane forests and an alpine desert, which concede to sparkling vistas of ice and snow. Despite its awesome height, Kilimanjaro is a relatively gentle hike; however, guides recommend basic fitness, as the main challenge is posed by the altitude. Those wanting to explore the mountain need not climb to the very top as special excursions cater for short hikes and picnic lunches on the slopes
