Ushuaia lives between the mountains and the Beagle Canal. When the murmur of its inhabitants begins to die down, it is the ideal time to be encouraged to tour it, with the intimacy that only sunset gives us. We will relive the history of this place as we walk through the oldest neighborhoods and reach the most attractive panoramic points. Then we’ll see the “other side” of the city: we’ll visit one of the recently populated places to learn how to live in the high neighborhoods where the mountain shelters the families who found their place in the world, far from superfluous luxuries but close to nature. The experience culminates in the home of a local family, where we will enjoy a dinner with a specially designed menu with local products and drinks included. This place gives us the opportunity to live a unique night, sharing the moment with the local community that opens the doors of your home.

Available service for cruise passengers. For safety reasons, mountain clothing is necessary for this activity. In case you do not have the appropriate clothing you will have the option to rent. We get to the starting point by following national route 3 for about 17 kilometers; we begin the hike at the trail’s parking lot, which quickly takes us deep into the forest. The trail takes us close to a beaver dam and crosses the valley until finding a peat bog, where it will follow the Esmeralda river all the way to its source in the Esmeralda lagoon. After a final climb, we will get to the lagoon: frozen in the winter and dazzling us with its stunning color during the summer. If the weather is good enough, we will have lunch by the lagoon with a breathtaking view of the Albino glacier, the lagoon, and the surroundings. Afterward, we will take the same trail back to the transfer that will take you to your hotel.
