First of all it is important for participants to understand why we are here to do private tours. Our mission is to provide a "more meaningful authentic experience" to all that signs up for our "The REAL Local Tokyo for people who do not want AVERAGE" tour. Therefore our tours are different from others since: 1. We try our very best to make this package something that is nothing alike to the other average Tokyo tours you will see on many sites. 2. We try our very best not to pick spots that are solely designed to please the eye of a tourist(i.e. something that may look typical Japanese to overseas clients may sometimes be a form of fabrication in the eye of a local) 3. We try our very best to pick spots that are not overly crowded with tourists so that participants can enjoy "quality time in a quality space" instead of quantity time in an overly packed space. *a minimum of 2 people are required for this private lesson

In this tour, I will guide you through not only Asakusa's famous landmarks but also its lesser-known sides—stories and places that even many Japanese people don't know. I believe that to truly understand Japan’s history and culture, it's important to explore both the light and the shadow. Having worked with many tour guides, I’ve noticed that most focus only on the “good” side of Japan—saying how wonderful everything is. While I love my country, I also think it's important to show a complete picture, including the difficult and complex parts of our past. I’m passionate about sharing Japan with people from around the world. With experience guiding over 300 international visitors, I offer a unique, honest, and interactive tour. Each tour is private—only one group per session—so we can communicate freely. Feel free to ask questions at any time. I look forward to exploring Asakusa with you!

Participants can combine their favorite kimono patterns and colors to create a traditional yet creative furoshiki. Furoshiki, an iconic item representing Japan's "wrapping culture," can be used as a lunchbox cover, bag, bottle wrapping, or tablecloth once completed. In this workshop, we use high-quality and beautiful kimonos salvaged from the tearing down of old houses. Unfortunately, many kimonos are discarded like other waste materials. Currently, Japan is seeing a decline in the use of kimonos and the preservation of old houses. This experience is more than just a craft activity, it is an opportunity to connect with Japan's rich cultural heritage and take a step towards a sustainable future. While preserving the essence of Japan's cultural heritage, participants breathe new life into old kimonos and create their own unique furoshiki, experiencing a sense of accomplishment.

Akihabara is well known as one of the most popular towns for Japanese subcultures in Tokyo. The itinerary written in this page is just a model. This tour is wholly tailor-maid. Please tell me what you want to do and where you want to go, and please ask me the recommendation related to your interest. You can do shopping, playing in the game arcade, and more. I'm an anime and video game otaku and I know about Akihabara that far as I usually have lessons about this place for the other tour guides, so I can assure that you can have fun if you are also otaku. And I will take huge load of photos of you and will send you them using Airdrop, Google Photo at the end of the tour, or later by email. I deliberately didn't include maid cafe, because it takes time at least an hour, but if you want to go, I can take you to the recommendable one. It's the same for animal cafes like cat cafe. Let me know your requests. If you can, please send me the list of the titles of anime or manga you like.
